I have been following the development of this year’s Terry Fox Run, from the discussion threads of 1.com.my about creating the website and doing for charity and then on from the newly created Terry Fox Run KL website set up. I must say that I was truly happy to know that there would be a run this year as well, from reading your discussions, although it wasn’t officially announced yet :). I really enjoyed my run last year and was keeping a lookout to see if there would be one this year.
I would like to thank you and the rest of the team too, for contributing your time and effort in coming up with an online site where everyone everywhere can get access to information about this run as well as maintaining and managing it, not forgetting that you all do constantly send updates to us too.
I went for the run this year too, and truly enjoyed myself there being with everyone else soaking up the happy friendly atmosphere, although I didn’t stay long.
The people run for different reasons; I too ran with in mind the people whom I know have cancer, died of cancer as well as to give support in creating awareness. I didn’t run alone this year, I ran with a friend whom I got to know from last year’s run, and I got to know a new friend this year as well :)
I hope the proceeds of the run is put to good use.

Good to see different ppl participated in charity, tall, short, pretty, thin, fat…
Hope to see you again next year.
Something just spurred me to join this year’s run. Sent out invite to some friends and ended 2 others joined me. Also got to met up with another friend who is also there to help up to give away fruits & foodstuff to participants.
Didn’t manage to get to know new people as I was with these 2 friends. Hope to get to know more if I join the next run. But I was having so much fun.. in the warm up exercise, in seeing the different types of runners.. from toddlers (at their parent’s back) to kids to older folks to diasbled persons… wow… it is just amazing!
There are also people from all nations and creeds! I love the unity there!.. despite the different in our colours!
This is my first Terry Fox Run and turns out to be a really fun one too =). Got to know about it from a close friend who is a committee member of Terry Fox Run KL. When I told my group of friends, the so called ‘10km Marathoners’, they were all so excited. Not only because we love joining fun runs but knowing the fact that our participations will contribute to the cancer research fund. We started spreading words around… from friends to friends, colleagues and ex-colleagues and I finally manage to get 49 people to join! I’d mass e-mailed a list of friends and many replied immediately to place an order for the T-shirt as they know it is a run for a good cause. I was kinda touched and impressed with the feedbacks I’d got from them =).
The run started with a lovely weather and there were a huge crowd with all sorts of faces. There were families, friends, couples, kids running around, roller blading, cycling, skating.. you name it. I even saw some kids rolling on the grass as if it’s some sort of a water bed HAHAHA! I did manage to meet up with my friends, some of my ex-colleagues and as well as a few of my existing colleagues. We really had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves that day =). There were so much food and plenty supply of H2O! I personally loves the muffin… yummy (“,).
Well, thumbs up to everyone that had made this event possible… the crowd is great! Looking forward to see you all again next year ;)
