We know, corporate website sounds more like a 'talk-only-the-good-thing' about a company...

What’s the difference between your corporate website and Blogs?

Our corporate website is supposed to tell ‘good thing about us’. Our Blogs are generic, they are telling you how to choose a good web developer instead.

But, your corporate website looks like a Blog too?

Yes, it is built with WordPress, where you can find a place to leave your comment and find Posts sorted by categories in a plainest theme. It’s a Blog indeed, and it’s a website too :)

I tried to search for your company’s background and portfolio, and most importantly- your services. I can’t find it easily though. I clicked on online business, I clicked on website design. I still can’t find the info I want. Is it intentional? What are your rationale?

Put it this way, assuming you are looking for roses for your loved one. Most online florists will tell you what roses they have, prices, promotions- to convert you. Whereby, we’re selling flower too, but we want to share with you more about flower arrangement, what is flower food?, why you should remove those guard pedal?…

But web development is far more than just buying a gift. It’s a business, an online business. It is not something (I wish to), visitor can order online and get it up and running tomorrow. It’s not presenting you a Mockup to get your business. Your website must be remarkable- No, no website should be similar to yours. That is why, we have removed portfolios from our website while others are not :)

How much will you cost? (Ok, unfair question, skip this)

Hint, check out How much is eBay?

What’s next? I can’t find a phone number to call!

Help yourself, Download this Free Guide- Please bear with it. It is yet to be compiled nicely and proofreaded. Going to publish it soon when the author is not too busy with the cycling!

On 8th Oct 2008, our team make their grand tour to Cambodia to visit both the Kumomo Schools...

On 8th Oct 2008, our team make their grand tour to Cambodia to visit both the Kumomo Schools in Kampong Cham at the Batheay District, approximately two hours drive from the city of Phnom Penh.

The launched was delayed, it was about 60% done now.

Thanks to Bernie and his team, the visit was great with they showing our team around the schools and meeting with the local district officers.

Local Cambodian kids

“In comparison, the youths in Malaysia are extremely lucky. We should all be grateful for everything that we have and learn to give to those who are more underprivileged than us,” Ammie said, after visiting both the schools.

On the visit, tour on duty.

“In these 6 days, we encountered joys and laughter, shocks and burns (sunburns). Besides the famous Angkor Archeology Park, Pub Street, Traditional Markets, Museums and Temple’s visits, we have headed off the beaten tracks to a rural area, 1 hour bumpy drive from the Phnom Penh city, for visiting an under-construction school, namely Kumomo School.” Said Chinseng.

About Rural Schools Project & Kumomo Schools

The Rural Schools Project was initiated by the American Assistance for Cambodia (AAfC) in 1999, and the project allows private donors to build schools with matching funds from the World Bank and Asian Development Bank for the kids and youths in rural Cambodia. Both Kumomo Schools was built with money collected through Kumomo.com built and developed by 1.com.my.

Rural School Project in Cambodia was brought to a whole new height with the acquisition of the domain name Kumomo.com!

Rural School Project in Cambodia was brought to a whole new height with the acquisition of the domain name Kumomo.com!

On 19th November 2006, the domain Kumomo.com was registered. The Kumomo Project has been developed by the team at 1.com.my to match ad space owners and buyers. At the same time, a portion of the money is donated to a charitable cause. The first charity organization the Kumomo Team engaged was American Assistance for Cambodia (AAC).

In the recent months, an anonymous corporation has expressed keen interest in the domain name Kumomo.com. After a few rounds of discussions, they have decided to take full ownership of the domain name Kumomo.com and would make the necessary compensation to the project.

Most importantly, with the acquisition of the domain name, they have also generously agreed to donate USD26,000 to build 2 schools in Cambodia. This is in addition to the sum that has been collected from all members’ contribution to the Kumomo Tree Project all these while.

“Thank you very much for your very generous arrangement and gesture to turn this sum over to us to build two schools. We are very grateful and so will be hundreds of Cambodia children who will benefit by gaining an education they would otherwise would not be able to pursue,” said Bernard Krisher, Chairman of AAC.

What’s next?

Upon this stage of ownership transfer, the ex-Kumomo team will change to a new name and the effort to develop this ad booking platform will continue. A date of transfer is not confirmed, rather more, it is assured that there are various plans to add a lot of new features in the next release to help monetize the spaces on Kumomo.com.

It is with great awareness that this sudden change would cause various inconveniences to members. Yet the apologizes will hopefully be compensated with the additional funds which will be used in helping to accelerate the process of putting more Cambodian children in schools. The construction of both The Kumomo Tree One and Two School in Kompong Cham province is expected to begin in mid February and should be completed in July 2008.

In the meantime, Kumomo members will be:
1) kept updated on the construction progress of the 2 schools
2) notified once our new platform is released

And with that, on behalf of the Cambodian children and the ex-Kumomo team, wishes to express their highest gratitude to all that’s been part of the success and happenings.

The Kumomo Charity Tree Projects is, in essence, a unique proposition that makes people happy with its presence just like the one-of-a-kind Kumomo Tree.

It is our pleasure to announce that an advertising space has been purchased on 1.com.my’s website. Adrian from Neowave Sdn Bhd, one of the leading shopping cart software / online store solution provider, purchased the space via Kumomo.com, a website dedicated to the buying and selling of all kinds of advertisement space.

You may wonder just what is so special about Adrian’s purchase. What more did he do than buy a space for advertisement? He did more than just purchase an ad space and here’s why: all of the proceeds from Adrian’s purchase went to the support of the Kumomo Tree Charity Projects. That very project is currently involved in the aiding of the construction of a Cambodian school. Such endeavors are the goals of the Kumomo Tree Charity Projects and with Adrian’s purchase this particular goal inches just that much closer to success.

The Kumomo Charity Tree Projects is, in essence, a unique proposition that makes people happy with its presence just like the one-of-a-kind Kumomo Tree. It is, like the tree, committed to contributing back to mankind and giving hope back to nature. But don’t just take our word for it; find out how you can be a part of the Kumomo Charity Tree Projects by visiting the website here. You won’t be disappointed! :D

We consider email as an integral communication medium when running our business. Hence, we advocate the importance of reliable email hosting to our clients where email is an important tool in the running of their business.

We love listening to feedbacks, especially negative ones. Hence, we love blogging. A blog also allow us to share with you our opinions on various issue concerning web development and how it affects you.
